OFF THE MAT: ALICE IN WONDERLAND 30”

Alice is 30 inches and pretty much seamless except for her blue skirt. I wanted to show you how I would approach it in 3 different ways.... I definitely have a favorite ... just curious if we agree which is best 😬πŸ€ͺ.

1. Option 1: creating a deliberate seam. I think this would be better if I could actually design lol. So I changed the image from 2 pieces into 3 pieces. If I could design, I would have made it look more like a pleat (which is what I was going for lol).

2. Option 2 - seams schmeans ... who gives a xxxx! πŸ˜‚πŸ€ͺ😝. Slice it, push it against each other, tape it, and call it a day. etc.). I did this color because it felt like the most accurate (but it’s just regular cardstock probably around 65-80# paper).

3. Option 3 - use a darker color glitter cardstock to mask the seam.

4. Option 4 - other: make it smaller or add something to hide it (teacups, another character, a pocket watch, etc.)

And just for a side comparison, I took it next to Snow White. Personally with so much to her, I think she needs to be 48 inches (think the toddler Disney princesses that I’ve done). Otherwise she looks teeny tiny.

And lastly, which option is your favorite? I personally like the dark blue glitter. In person, you don’t notice that seam at all. But you knew I was going to pick that, right? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ€ͺπŸ₯°πŸ˜˜πŸ˜œ.
