OFF THE MAT: JACK & SALLY - NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS
๐ Jack and sally - 37 inches x 22 inches of cardstock.
Look at that hair shine! Iโm so excited to have discovered a new brand of glitter cardstock - Ground Up Creations!
Now for the tips:
๐ - at 37 inches they are practically seamless!!! In the video you can see a seam running through her dress. But that will disappear when this is glued to a foam board. It will stay flat and wonโt catch the light reflection.
๐ - piggyback to the above point of being seamless ... glitter cardstock is amazing! You canโt see any seams in Jack!!!! And I canโt get over the shine in her red hair ๐๐๐โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ.
๐ - check your dimensions ... the same piece (her red hair - see pictures at the bottom of this post) has different dimensions when you rotate the image. What does this mean? It means you donโt always have to slice through a piece. Design space measures height by taking the difference between the highest and lowest point, and width with the most left point from the most right point. So when you rotate the image, you may find it fits on a 12x12 inch cardstock after all!!!
๐- When the background is glitter cardtsock, I use a hot glue gun to make sure all the pieces stay. But with her skin and the blue/gray dress being regular 65# cardtsock, I ran it through the Xyron Creative Station as to not ruin the texture of the paper and to ensure it really sticks.
