Here's my submission for Anything Goes and the Grand Prize! It's bursting Frida in all ways I could find through research.
Everything about this #diycraftmonth has been so amazing for me - just a perfect reflection of my crafting journey, everyone in the community that has made an impact (feedback, support, and new collaborations), and the ability to create/have fun for a living. πππ.
So March is Women's History Month and so I love how I stumbled upon Frida through a request from one of my followers. I have to admit that I knew very little about Frida prior to this - her unibrow, she's an artist and from Mexico. She's known for her self portraits, her love of Mexican and indigenous culture, and is a feminist icon... and I picked up a little fact that she loved her jewelry.
She has moving earrings!!! This is the same as the spinning coins on my Super Mario cake topper. Just use thread to allow for the spinning movement.
Flowers were all Cricut Design Space images: #m3d7e1 - these are my least favorite!!! but they were great fillers. #m295b4e3 - these are the swirls #m295b547 - I love this one!!! #mfgfb53c - this is the big one in front ... LOVE LOVE LOVE this one.
You can find the Etsy file I used HERE.

I love it!!!! Youβll be seeing this in more of my projects πππ.
Materials used: just about everything in my art room - glitter cardstock, cardstock, tissue paper, foam board, paint, vinyl, htv, gems, thread, the kitchen sink. LOL. The paper for her skin is from Cricutβs Shimmer Paper Bedazzled Sampler. Iβve also used this paper for the skin tone for Princess Jasmine and Queen Bee from LOL Surprise. It works great!
In this video, I will show you how to set this project up in Design Space.
In this video, I will show you how to assemble the project.
