off the mat: buddy the elf

He’s so simple yet so cute πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š. He’s 30 inches and pretty much seamless. I love all the colors that were used with a variety of cardstock - shimmer, glitter, Swiss dots. And I loved duplicating the holly and adding some shape/curl to make it stand out on his shirt.

PENGUIN THEMED ORNAMENT SHAKER / GIFT TOPPER

This penguin is so stinking cute - you have both the lollipop holder and a shaker ornament. The shaker is super simple using @bearlyarts foam strips to create the wall to keep the sprinkles in. The sampler pack has 4 sheets - 2 sheets of strips and 2 of squares in 1/4 inch and 1/8 inch depth. And the cubies are super sticky!!! You don’t need to reinforce with glue.

SWEET CHRISTMAS WREATH

I am absolutely in love with this project!!! The wreath is from @papermintdecor and her original is the last picture. It was all over my Pinterest feed and I knew I had to make it.

It’s actually a very simple (and cheap) project to do. You’ll need a floral wreath from @dollartree, streamers, and cardstock. That’s it! Shocking, right? And it’s soooo worth it. I LOVE this project. All the details … all the colors … just 😍😍😍.

Make sure to use @bearlyarts glue for the perfect cardstock glue. The nutcrackers are 2 inches and 4 inches, and the lollipops are 2 inches. The font is from @creativefabrica is Bella rose (very reminiscent of I love glitter).

OFF THE MAT: SNOOPY’S CHRISTMAS HOUSE

It’s done!!!! Snoopy with real lights and faux snow … it’s better than I had imagined ❀️❀️❀️. Thank you for joining my live on Instagram where we brainstormed and came up with a better idea for the lights!!! This tutorial is broken up into quite a few sessions cause it was definitely time consuming πŸ˜πŸ˜‚πŸ€£β€¦ but so worth it IMHO 😁.

DIY GRINCH ORNAMENT

I finally hopped on board to make one of these. They’re 3 inch flat disc plastic ornaments from @michaelsstores. Unless you have a serious dislike for this shape, it’s the easiest to work with and to add adhesive vinyl.

Tips:

πŸ’š the face image is 1.9 inches for the 3 inch bulb; the one on the left is 1.5 inches which is too small in my opinion.

πŸ’š use minwax polycrylic protective finish - I’ve used this in the past and do not have any discoloration issues.

OFF THE MAT: JACK & SALLY - NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS

πŸ’€ Jack and sally - 37 inches x 22 inches of cardstock.

Look at that hair shine! I’m so excited to have discovered a new brand of glitter cardstock - Ground Up Creations! Now for the tips:πŸ’€ - at 37 inches they are practically seamless!!! In the video you can see a seam running through her dress. But that will disappear when this is glued to a foam board. It will stay flat and won’t catch the light reflection.
