OFF THE MAT: LA DODGERS HELLO KITTY

Hello Kitty at 22 inches with a moving baseball ⚾️… absolutely love everything about this gal … from the rhinestones to the glitter blue cardstock to the spinning baseball. I had to add the clock mechanism to an off the mat project for the first time. What do you think?

PETER PAN MOVING CAKE TOPPER

Peter Pan themed moving cake topper!!! It’s finally done! I love the lights on Tinkerbell… that might be my favorite part. This topper uses an easy peasy time mechanism - what’s difficult is making the entire theme work and incorporating the spinning piece but for this project it worked well. I just love it!

OFF THE MAT: BRUNO FROM ENCANTO

Bruno, Bruno, Bruno … he’s done! I started him before the convention and finished after coming back … and so I was able to incorporate adhesive flock from @pinkandmain after seeing this at @namtaartmaterialsassociation in Florida. It’s a lot of fun to work with.

Special thanks to @thecraftyblock for the shredded tassels to add to his shirt. If you haven’t seen her Bruno, you need to see what she used for his flip flops! Still my favorite part ❤️❤️❤️.

Svg file is from @thesaltyyankee !!! As well as the other encanto characters ❤️❤️❤️.

Next up is the candle from encanto with the new lights I found from @chibitronics 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻…

OFF THE MAT: MIRABEL FROM ENCANTO

It’s all in the details … I love the raised glasses… the htv flock for the black in the shirt … and any time you have an enclosed area like the black butterfly, you can easily get rid of the seams running through by cutting a piece of black cardstock to add over it. In the end, with a 48 inch character, she will have probably a total of .5 inches in seams that won’t be noticeable.

OFF THE MAT: SNOOPY’S CHRISTMAS HOUSE

It’s done!!!! Snoopy with real lights and faux snow … it’s better than I had imagined ❤️❤️❤️. Thank you for joining my live on Instagram where we brainstormed and came up with a better idea for the lights!!! This tutorial is broken up into quite a few sessions cause it was definitely time consuming 😝😂🤣… but so worth it IMHO 😁.

OFF THE MAT: HELLO KITTY

I’m just playing around with Hello Kitty with different sizes and different ways to bling. What do you think?

Showing you all the steps on how I layer and cut the foam board ... and also how I do rhinestones (but this is definitely not my forte!!! lol)

Super easy to add a foam board - it will make the project sturdier and you can set against a table or wall to stand propped up ❤️❤️❤️.

LIGHTNING MCQUEEN - CARS CAKE TOPPER

My video fail turned this into a comparison project LOL. So we have two different types of sticker paper as well as lights! There's a matte version which has this rubbery feel texture that is super cool. While the colors aren't as vibrant, I really do like the paper. This one has the multi-color lights from Amazon. Now if you're wondering why the lights aren't as bright, it's because I forgot to turn off the lights and they had been going for well over 24 hours straight. Also I have the lights behind the sticker paper. Now onto the glossy version. I used the white lights (also from Amazon) BUT this time I cut out the sticker paper where the lights are and put vellum paper. So the lights are really bright! Usually I prefer the multi lights, but the bright white lights matched his smile and it was perfect for a car.

OFF THE MAT: PENNYWISE - IT

Love love love how this turned out!!! Mixing a little luminous htv with my usual glitter cardstock for this craziness 🤡🤡😱just perfection 💛💛💛

26 inches and he glows in the dark! I used the luminous htv (heat transfer vinyl from Poli-Tape) on cardstock to get a super scary effect. In love!!

Tips:

1. I like to weld pieces together to make it easier to piece together and have fewer pieces to keep track of. For example check out the collar. I added little circles to connect pieces.

2. I struggled with the htv a bit because I didn’t apply enough pressure and heat. Next time it’ll be better. But I absolutely loved the results.
