DIY OFF THE MAT MICKEY PARTY SIGN

I love it!!! The blue glitter outline of Matthew is over 18 inches long!!! With the overall Mickey centerpiece about 20 inches wide and 21 inches high. Not my typical off-the-mat character but itβs just as pretty πππ. And the hat is 4 inches high. Mini!!!
Tips:
π The Matthew outline had to be sliced. Make sure to pick it in the smallest place possible (between the Ts) and pick a darker color in glitter. Were you able to see the seam??
π When you go to actually cut it, the two Matthew pieces should be parallel to each other on the same sheet if possible. This ensures that the grain of the glitter is facing in the same direction. Think of a velvet fabric and how it can be different as you brush up against the fabric. Glitter cardstock is the same way. If it cannot be on the same sheet, make sure when you place the paper on the mat, that both sheets face the same way. Trust me! ππ€£π€π».
π Colors....
Sometimes you can deliberate forever and still get it wrong. Truly sometimes you canβt tell until the pieces are cut to see if it all works together. I let my daughter have the first few selections. It happens to the best of us ππ€£π€¦π»ββοΈ. But can we talk about how right the metallic paper is!!!!
π Sometimes foam tape is still too big. Use your glue gun to create little dots to create that space. Layering is everything! ππ»ππ»ππ»
